BEANIE BABIES, the cuddliest and most adorable critters, were invented by H Ty Warner. Beanie first appeared in 1994 and was only sold in small gift shops. They grew very popular and in fact a shipment of Teeny Beanies at McDonalds caused an overnight frenzy.

Controversial to the frenzy of Beanie Babies, Mr Ty Warner is a very private man. Few know much about him as he keep his life exclusive. To know how Beanie Babies were invented, one has to know Mr Warner's history. His first real job was to sell soft animals for a toy company, Dakin. Afterwhich, he quit his job and spent some time in Italy. In Italy, he took a particular interest at some cuddly cats and wonder why they do not have such things back home in America. Excitedly, he mortgage a small flat back home and founded Ty Incorporated.

Ty Beanies are loved by many people because of their significant names and their less stiff appearance and the BEANS (of course!) which are actually PVC pellets.
